ABOUT US
Founded in 2019, the Madrid Film Awards - MADFA® is already one of the most prestigious and diverse international film festivals in Spain and Europe. Every year, more than 120 countries compete in its editions. The official trophy is the Golden Crown. Based in Madrid, Spain, is an Official IMDb Competition!
With the Walking Crowned Bear as its banner, it presents its annual red carpet events in the heart of Spain, receiving international guests, conducting interviews, broadcasting on social networks, featuring live musicians, an awards ceremony, a reception with complimentary international drinks, and much more!
We believe that cinema has the power to connect people through empathy. At the Madrid Film Awards, we are looking for stories that stay with the audience after leaving the cinema and challenge how we think and feel about the world around us.
We aim to promote the artists who tell these stories by providing a platform for their work and recognizing their efforts with awards in a wide range of categories.
The Festival selection committee is renewed every year but retains the premise of ensuring competitors to evaluated at their highest level. Only valuable films can receive the Competition Certificates and the Golden Crown.
Those selected and the winners of each edition will be announced through the MADFA® Website.
"Let's unite nations through a screen."
